Discounts Available on SchoolTube Video Channels Through CSD
SchoolTube provides students and educators a safe, world-class media sharing web site that is nationally endorsed by premier education associations. Thousands of videos have been posted on SchoolTube, and the best way to make your videos easy to find is through a SchoolTube Channel.
SchoolTube Channels allow districts and schools to organize all of their videos in one place. You can promote your channel to your students, parents and community, and they can easily find the content you want them to see!
Missouri school districts can now purchase a SchoolTube channel at the discounted price of $425 a year through CSD. (CSD Level 1 members will receive a free channel for one year. Level 1 members should contact Terry Baker at tbaker@csd.org for more information.)
On your channel, you can post:
- Messages from the superintendent
- Board meeting highlights
- Orientation videos for students and parents
- Student performances
- Student-produced videos
- Athletic highlights
- Anything else you want your students, parents or community to see!
Visit schooltube.com and click the “Channels” tab at the top to see how channels work. There you can see how easy it is to organize videos in your channel and promote them to your audiences. You can even search for CSD’s channel to view our video content.
Your district may want to purchase more than one channel in order to organize content by school or program. Additional channels can be purchased with the CSD discount at any time.
Video players for your web site are also available at a discounted rate through SchoolTube. The MVP video player normally costs $395, but CSD districts can get them for only $165 each.
To sign up for your SchoolTube channel:
- Visit www.schooltube.com and click “Sign Up” at the top
- Register your district in the “Other” category
- Click on “Store” at the top
- Select “K-12 Schools & Districts”
- Select the SchoolTube Channel and click “Buy Now”
- Insert coupon code CSD2010 and choose “Proceed with Purchase.”
The code will give you the CSD discount price.
