CSD Legislative Advocacy Training
CSD will host a
Legislative Advocacy Training workshop for member districts on
Thursday, December 3 from 8 to 10 am in the CSD large conference
room at 1460 Craig Road. The workshop will include an
overview of key legislative issues for 2010, insight into the
legislative process at the State Capitol and tips for using the CSD
Legislative Advocacy web site to engage your constituents in the
legislative process. You’ll also learn how to create a
Legislative Advocacy Network in your district.
CSD member districts are encouraged to send a
team of representatives from your Legislative Advocacy Network. If
your district does not have a formal Legislative Advocacy Network,
consider sending teacher leaders, parent leaders, administrators,
board members and others to learn about the legislative process and
how to advocate for public education. As we enter the
2010 Missouri legislative session, school districts working
together in a united voice help make a difference with legislators
in Jefferson City.
To register your
district for the program, contact Sarah Stuart at (314) 692-1200 or
sstuart@csd.org by Monday, November 30. The morning will
begin with registration and a light breakfast at 7:30, with the
program beginning at 8.
