SSA - Support Staff Academy

The annual Support Staff Academy is a program designed to provide professional development to area schools’ educational support professionals (i.e., administrative assistants, secretaries/office personnel, maintenance/custodial, food service, security, teachers and library aides).

Attending the Support Staff Academy pays big dividends by increasing your knowledge in:

Day One:        Friday, November 6, 2009 – Full Day – Using Mindfulness in the Office: How To Be At Work When You Are At Work with Jim Mullins.

Day Two:        Friday, December 4, 2009 – Full Day – Introduction to Emergency Incident Preparedness and Planning with Bill Roach

Day Three:     Friday, March 5, 2010 – Full Day – CPR & First Aid Certifications

Day Four:       Friday, April 9, 2010 – A.M. Session – Generations in Change and Building Killer Teams with Phil Bruno.

Mini-Conference: Wednesday, June 9, 2010

Credit Available:
  Sign up for three or more days and have the opportunity to earn one undergraduate credit hour from Lindenwood University.  Contact Karen Vaughan for more information at kvaughan@csd.org.

CPS or CAP Certification: (Certified Professional Secretary, Certified Administrative Professional), these classes maybe an excellent way to earn re-certification points.
