About
Rogelio Fernández Mota is a longtime activist with roots in El Paso, Texas, and Ciudad Juárez, Mexico. His specialty lies in advocating for social justice within Latinx Deaf organizations. In 2016, he joined the CSD Board of Directors, where he provided guidance in launching several initiatives, including the CSD Social Venture Fund. In 2004, he also founded Council de Manos and serves on the board of the Texas Latino Council of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Rogelio is currently pursuing a degree in the Chicano/a Graduate Studies program at California State University Northridge, with graduation anticipated in Spring 2025.
